I’ve followed what the Village Voice has to say off an on for about 20 years – mostly for amusement, as it’s always been firmly rooted on the far left of the political spectrum. This latest piece of slander doesn’t surprise me in the least. The Village Voice was one of the leaders of the opposition back in the 1980s to the idea that AIDS had anything whatsoever to do with gay mens’ sexual practices, and therefore vigorously advocated against closing bath houses in New York and San Francisco. As far as I’m concerned they have the blood of thousands of AIDS victims on their hands. Furthermore, and even more damning, they’ve never even bothered to acknowledge their error, let alone apologize. The insanity of the opinions expressed in this publication never cease to amaze.
