I believe I said they did not anticipate the problems their laws brought about restricting our rights as parent to be parents. I agee wholeheartly with you, sir.

If I generated a positive responce from you, then at least we agree we must analize the end results of a decision which lawmakers fail to take into account.

Thanks, John

I would like for you to reconsider your words, Carter. It's because of government interference that this child was allowed to bring weapons of destruction to school.

Since 1987, when I was in school, the DFPS and certain government agencies have made it impossible to discipline a child. For instance, you can't spank them, or slap them, or threaten to pull a belt and paddle them. When you do, they whip out the "I'm going to call CPS on you."

Teachers can't paddle children, principals can, but only with parental consent.
Coaches can't lay a hand on kids, and even the police can't do anything, unless the student threatens someone.
At the same time, boys can rape girls, and teachers can have sex with children, and get away with it.

I say that government needs to give parents back their rights to control their children, and we need to rehang the 10 commandments in schools again.
Kids need to learn their place and need to feel that schools are a safe place again.
Kids need to learn the boundaries, and teachers need to learn when to pay attention to kids, so they can pick up on the moods.

Maybe if we let teachers carry guns to school, then we wouldn't have these problems.

Another example of our government’s failure to address the problems they have created by creating a huge gap between generations using bureaucratic entities more intent on applying restrictions impeding the rights of parents and teachers to discourage bad behavior.

Ummmmmmm - no government can come between parents and kids IF....IF...the parents take charge and raise their kids the way they are supposed to be raised. WHere were the parents in this case? HOw did their kids build a pipe bomb and they weren't aware? HARDLY!! THIs is a case of PARENTAL FAILURE TO ADDRESS PROBLEMS!! jUST like th kids at Columbine. Parents needs to start being parents! Stop blaming the government!!
