Does anyone actually take Matthews seriously anymore? MSNBC's failure to cancel his show just shows how in-the-bag that network is for the Left. Matthews lost me when he said: 1. The "tingle down the leg" comment about Obama. 2. The comment about everyone simply MUST weep when Obama speaks. 3. His post-election assertion that it was now "his job" to ensure the success of the Obama administration. I watched Hardball every night (M-F) for about 18 months but abandonded it for good in August 2008 when Matthews became so utterly absurd (a pigtailed Obama cheerleader) that I just couldn't take it any more.
