I HAVE A GREAT IDEA, AND I DO NOT CARE WHAT THE ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THIS NATIONS SAYS, AND ERIC HOLDER IS THE ATTORNEY GENERAL ONLY BECAUSE HE IS A “PUPPET” OF BARRY O’ WELL ANY HOW WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN IS THAT THE FORMER PRESIDENT ORDERED THE CIA, THE ARMY, OR WHOMEVER TO GAIN INFO., INTEL IF YOU WILL FROM THESE CAPTURED TERRORISTS, AND WHEN THEY DID IT THEY DID IT IN A WAY THAT DOES NOT PLEASE THE LEFTIES OF THIS NATION. If the CIA and the Whitehouse is afraid to interrogate the terrorists, send them to me, I’m not afraid to waterboard them, or make them talk. I’m all for staking them out over anthills and pouring honey on them.

Geez, these are the same folks who cut off Daniel Pearls head, tortured American soldiers, raped women, kill gays, and go ballistic anytime anyone impugns their reputation. They are no better than misbehaving children that still live in the 7th century.

Unfortunately, people like jjay, have a severe lack of understanding towards human nature. No matter how hard you try to make nice, it rarely ever works. Only when your enemy is secure in the knowledge that you can , will and promise to destroy them utterly , will you get them to listen. People are little more than animals that have advanced through pain and failure. By accepting this we learn how to avoid unpleasant circumstances. As our fearful ,uh, fearless leader is finding out , our enemies are laughing at our weakened stance and feeding their own hatred because they see the weakened beast, the USA, falter in it’s steps. Our allies are fretting because we no longer seek to strengthen our ties but instead mock them.

No matter what we give these terrorist they will want only more. You don’t make vermin leave by giving them more to feed. You step on them and crush them. The belief that humanity will ever reach the point of complete peace is hundreds of years away. But allowing the vermin to increase only prolongs the hope of peace. If waterboarding is what it takes than more power to them.

On personal note, I last year attended a PTA meeting where a parent complained about this ‘current event’(Waterboarding) being used in class, where the teacher was showing how wrong the US was in waterboarding terrorist. When another parent stood up to rally against her complaint, I intervened and explained what happened and how the government feared to release the data that shows of how effectual the waterboarding actually was. The anti waterboarder was attended by her daughter . I then asked her to explain to her daughter how it would be OK for her daughter to be killed if some terrorist was not waterboarded and his mission was a success. Would she be happy that America kept it’s head high and did not act like the ‘Soviet Union, North Korea and Iran’ at her families funeral? As her daughter lay in the coffin could she believe that the terrorist desire for destruction was going to be stopped by holding open her hand instead of a closed fist?
She left crying.
Perhaps a little wiser.

jjay – according to your logic, they attack us because we have harmed them. But also according to this logic, we should wonder what the family, friends and colleagues of the 3000 plus murdered on September 11 are doing with their lives? Are they malliciously and sadistically hatching a plot to blow themselves up on some Arab school bus?

Why do we strive for responsible governance of our people, only to excuse the rampant hostility of others? In a descent world we should expect everything in equal measure. You – I am afraid, like so many others – are blinded by your goody-two-shoes view of yourself. Wake up!

Statistics don’t bear out the thesis that we create enemies when we use military force.

An article on FPM reported a Pew poll taken before the Iraq war and afterwards of most Middle Eastern countries. The poll found that on a number of issues people in those areas were less favorably disposed to Al Qaeda and its agenda after the war than before. The difference was typically around twenty percentage points.

A very good idea which I think our military is doing. If you attack us, we will kill you. That is the point of having a military in the first place. The protection and preservation of life of the countries citizens.

Not making friends but influencing people in the most basic emotion, self preservation.
