Obama's Going to Make You an Offer You Can't Refuse
Today at progressive “watchdog” group Media Matters’s blog the Left was throwing a fit over Fox News’ comparison of Obama to The Godfather:
Media Matters claimed that this was something of a meme in the conservative community and supported it with a link to their “research” from May.
The first commenter, someone with the clever moniker Rasta Farian wanted answers:
Can someone please tell me why this okay?
Yes, I’ll tell you why this is OK.
Another commenter, “Historically Correct” (a less amusing and rather pretentious handle) also wanted answers:
Why on earth is this okay? FoxNews should be forced to have News taken from their name as punishment for this nonsense
So let’s break it down for “Rasta” and “Historically Correct” and all of those at Media Matter who seem unable to dig a little deeper.
Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and a good number of their various political operatives have all been schooled in the Saul Alinsky methods of “community organizing.” And who played a key role in developing Alinsky’s philosophy and approach? As David Horowitz pointed out in Part 5 of his Alinksy series, one of Al Capone’s gangsters:
Saul Alinsky came of age in the 1930s as a Communist fellow-traveler (as his biographer Sanford Horwitt tells us in Let Them Call Me Rebel), but his real social milieu was the world of the Chicago mobsters to whom he was drawn professionally as a sociologist. In particular he sought out and became a social intimate of the Capone gang and of Capone enforcer Frank Nitti who headed the gang when Capone was sent to prison in 1931. Later Alinsky said, “[Nitti] took me under his wing. I called him the Professor and I became his student.†(p. 20) While Alinsky was not oblivious to the fact that criminals were dangerous, like a good leftist he held “society†— and capitalist society in particular — responsible for creating them.
Here’s a question for the Left: how far would you go to get universal healthcare in this country? After all, it’s supposedly a plan which will save the lives of millions and help liberate the lower class from the economic totalitarianism inflicted on them by their malevolent Fat Cat CEO taskmasters. How far would you go to save the world? If an influential conservative Senator stood in the way of “reform” and one could do something to embarrass or discredit him then wouldn’t it be worth it? After all, we’re talking about saving people’s lives here. What’s one man’s reputation compared to millions of lives and the perfect world?
Think about that for a moment and perhaps the gangster comparison isn’t quite as outlandish as one might suspect.
Who cares what the stoned-out yard-pims have to say anyway? Rasta Farian? Are you kidding me? Throw him some roaches and a bottle of Thunderbird and he’ll leave you alone.
Or perhaps an influential Fox news pundit (instead of a conservative senator) that stumbled upon the highly unethical and marginally legal aspects of Obama and companies’ “pay for play” to the SEIU, ACORN, Apollo alliance, Tides foundation organization. Perhaps maybe he directly linked these criminals to highly paid, quasi-legal “czars” who miraculously were heavily involved, if not founded those same organizations. Perhaps they would use an organization that was founded by one such member to threaten a boycott of this pundit under the ruse that he was a “racist”. This, of course, would be right out of Alinsky’s playbook. And, perhaps the American people could go to that organizations website and link to the “about” section and find out that said organization was indeed founded by none other Van Jones. The same individual whom the pundit did indeed connect to these organizations. Sounds to me like thats what a criminal would do to retaliate for someone uncovering the truth. What we as a people do with that information will decide whether or not hte republic exists in the near future.

Nobody wins when thoughts like that are distributed that only physical violence can result.
Idealism from almost 80 years ago no longer applies to the present. I fear some idiots are finding that out the hard way. Escalation of the current unrest must be met realistically; rather than philosophically.
One of the reasons why Barry got into the White House is that people like Rasta Farian and Historically Correct have managed to fit in becoming politically active with drum circles and bong-cleaning.
