I had a similar experience. My congressman assurd me that President Bush allotted an extra billion dollars to the program. This was shortly after the Walter Reede scandle. Evidently, the money went into new facilities, not care for the veterans. The bureaucracy sucked up the money and the service never improved. If that isn't an example of the pitiful government run service that is a precursor of the proposed health plan, then we are all doomed. I gave up and will just let nature take its course.

Being a vet, I get my health care through the VA. Last February, my assigned doctor quit and I was assigned a new primary care doctor. I called to get an appointment with my doctor, because I had two infections, a rash on my legs and a sinus infection. As an aside, I also have a form of cancer that effects my immune system, subjecting me to serious infections. The earliest I could get an appointment with the new doctor was August. No other doctor would see me to prescribe medication for the infections, because the new doctor had seen me. So I was left with the infections. I found some old ointment that I had used for the rash before and used it. The rash eventually went away as did the sinus infection.

Treatment at the hospital is a different thing entirely. If I have to go to the emergency room, they get me into a room away from other patients. I'm treated fairly quickly. If I have to be hospitalied, I get a private room because of my immune problem.

The problem isn't the hospitals, it's the local clinics and the shortage of doctors. If this is happening with the VA clinics, what do you think it'll be like with universal health care?

Some people are stupid and think it'll be good, but you can't tell them that you could die waiting waiting for an appointment and no other doctor will touch you! They drink the Obama kool-ade and eat up his lies, thinking that it isn't going to cost them anything. And by the time they get the bill, it'll be too late to go back to the old way!

Good for Glenn Beck he's absolutely right. The healthcare system in this country needs to be re-evaluated, revamped and reworked and we need to mend some of the flaws in it. We don't need to have a healthcare system run by the government forced on us. As Americans we should have the right to choose what ever form of medical care we deem reasonable and workable for each individual in each walk of life. If the indigent need more help then an arrangement needs to be employed to help them up until they can handle the probem/s on their own. We do not need failing programs such as the American Indians are presently subjected to, nor to we need those of the English, Frence or the Canadians presently close to defunct systems imposed on us or to be taxed for such programs when they have enough funding presently if it is used properly.

The DNC isn't giving up on their attack against those who don't support Obamacare.

They created a new site called "Setting the Record Straight".

Here is the email they are sending out about it:

"It feels like a new lie about health insurance reform crops up each day. Government taking over all health care? Not true. Euthanasia for seniors? Couldn't be more false. Rationing of care? Reform will stop rationing, not increase it.

These lies create fear and anger, and we're seeing the results around the country. Frightened crowds have flooded town halls, and the office of a Georgia representative was defaced with a swastika.

It's time to set the record straight -- and, more importantly, expose the special interests and partisan attack organizations behind the lies and misinformation.

That's why we created our new "Setting the Record Straight" site. Check out the site today and then spread the word to your friends.

As the site makes clear, these lies are no accident. They're part of a deliberate plot by the special interests who profit from the status quo to kill any reform at all. While Americans watch their paychecks dwindle, their coverage disappear, and their businesses struggle, special interests are trying to scare folks into opposing reform.

Our "Setting the Record Straight" site has all the info you need to fight back, as well as easy ways to get involved in the fight for health insurance reform. We'll be updating it often with new information debunking health care lies, so stop by regularly.

As we learned during the campaign, lies like these can spread like wildfire through viral emails and from friend to friend. The best way to stop them is to arm yourself with the facts -- and make sure your friends and family know the truth."

Check out the site, and share it with everyone you know:

Mitch

Examine their VA health service. I went to a satelite clinic with a boil and was scheduled to see a specialist 2 months later. I burst the boil myself. Outrageous!
