We know liberals attack conservatives all the time with ad hominen attacks. Perhaps they have second thoughts about doing so if the person being attacked is carrying a weapon on his shoulder? Perhaps they fear antagonizing this person and possibly provoking a ‘deranged’ gun owner into using the weapon on them? Remember, to them all conservatives are, by definition, deranged and intellectually challenged, so what could be more dangerous than an emotionally unstable, intellectually deprived, conservative than one carrying a weapon?
They believe that weapons, from switch blade knives to nuclear missles, are ‘innately’ evil (yes, they do have a religion). By association, those who own weapons, whether an individual citizen or the entire nation, are evil. This is a mental disorder suffered by all liberals, one which I think deserves the concentrated attention of the psychological community and government ‘think tanks’.

Those of us not afflicted by this disorder understand that it is not weapons that are innately evil. It is people who are evil who use weapons in evil ways that are the problem. Taking weapons away from evil people does NOT convert them into saints! So, let’s lock up the criminals who use weapons wrongly, and let good people keep their weapons just in case we need to protect ourselves against the tyranny of the left and Big Brother, which are already knocking on our doors.
