I now consider myself an Independent with a Libertarian streak. The Progressives have defintely have hijacked the party my parents and my generation helped to build. Obama's veil is being lifted by Beck and others and now as the polls drop, he is running to the middle. Hope the people see through this farce. What we have is a fully trained, marxist inspired President and the progressive socialist coalition, working feverishly together to craft a permanent yoke around the neck of the American people. Under the guise of a better life, the old forces of marxist populism, common good collectivism, and utopianism have infected the American political scene once again. The most dangerous route we are on is the subversion of our core freedoms with a "Borg-like" collective mentality that is the essence of the socialist ideal.
