Kudos to Glenn Beck for Identifying the Enemy(ies)

2009 August 14

Glenn Beck took time out tonight to look at the three anti-American Jew-haters recently awarded a Medal of Freedom by the leftist-in-chief: Joseph Lowery, Mary Robinson, and the vile Desmond Tutu, who was on board for the necklacing operations of the ANC — the practice of burning alive blacks who ran afoul of the leadership by putting inner tubes filled with gasoline around their necks and setting them on fire.

But the truly frightening part of the Beck show was a segment on Mark Lloyd, the “diversity chief” of the FCC who has plans to wipe out conservative talk radio. Lloyd’s  plan — a dagger aimed at the heart of American freedom — makes clear that the so-called liberals in the Obama Administration are not only socialists, but communists (there are democratic socialists after all). Lloyd is a Soros operative, and his plan is contained in an article he wrote for the Center for American Progress called “Forget the Fairness Doctrine” (because I’ve got a better idea).

Right, supporting those who yell, scream and refuse to listen is called “debate”. Respect and truth are the basis for starting and continuing a conversation that has merit in trying to reach an understanding. Everyone has a right to be angry at our Congress for dragging their feet on many issues. Being informed is the toughest part and too many are willing to take a cable ‘host’s’ word for what is actual fact. Glenn Beck, for instance has lost twelve sponsors THIS WEEK because of his irresponsible behavior and comments on his “show”. Let’s be more cautious and demanding about who we take for authorities in this and all debates. That is a lot more patriotic than demanding to be heard and refusing to listen.

jjay, Why do you watch and do this to yourself. Masochistic tendencies, indeed. I suggest you stick to ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, have I missed any, and leave Fox News to those of us who have only IT to watch.

    Good point Janet.
However, until we learn to listen to each other, regardless of the ridiculous nature of some, we will not learn to cooperate and get the best of what we can provide for all.
As a matter of fact, my favorites are Colbert, Maddow and Maher. However, I do watch CNN on occasion and MSNBC’s Obermann. You left out NPR which is usually pretty straight forward.
    Take care and keep questioning!

I do find it ironic that JJay and his fellow travelers–oops-believers–are so offended by legitimate protests of current Administration’s policies. They didn’t have any problem vociferously and relentlessly attacking GW in the most aggressive and over-the-top ways (think Keith Obermann).

Yet somehow when the shoe is on the other foot, and their idol Oblahma is criticized in any way, it’s suddenly out-of-bounds, “mobs”, or (of course) “racist”. Their protests about the protests give new meaning to the hypocrisy which is the omnipresent disease infecting the Left these days.

    (and I’m a recovering liberal!)

Right on, JJ. I’m a recovering liberal too — But for 40 years and I’m 75 now. How does that old “proverb” go, liberal and kind hearted at 25; liberal and stupid at 45.

Thank the lucky stars for David and Glen for keeping us focused upon the dark underbelly of the “progressive movement”. This is no innocent political philosophy we have here. They have been around for so long that we can see the gestation happening again before our eyes with the radical appointments of the “czars” and the new-day-a-dawnin’ dreamer of a president we have. What we have is a fully trained, marxist inspired President and the progressive socialist coalition, working feverishly together to craft a permanent yoke around the neck of the American people. Under the guise of a better life, the old forces of marxist populism, common good collectivism, and utopianism have infected the American political scene once again. The most dangerous route we are on is the subversion of our core freedoms with a “Borg-like” collective mentality that is the essence of the socialist ideal. Witness the unbearably sad takeover of the Venezuelan society, day by day, the Bolivarian revolution which is nothing more than thuggish Castroite communism. Please, David and Glen, keep focusing on these issues as our major press outlets won’t even call a communist a communist anymore.

I was once a Democrat who was denounced for not supporting Obama through and through. I now consider myself an Independent with a Libertarian streak. The Progressives have defintely have hijacked the party my parents and my generation helped to build. Obama’s veil is being lifted by Beck and others and now as the polls drop, he is running to the middle. Hope the people see through this farce.

Just like the Declaration of Independance was a call for “negotiation” with king George? Why is it those who love this country have to even consider a point of view that completely denounces our way of life for the sake of being “open minded”, but those who question our views don’t have to recipricate? The all to now obvious tactic of “wearing us down bit by bit” should no longer be tollerated. We have to draw a line and it seems that that line has been drawn. No more concessions to the leftists. This is not Mccarthyism. The forces that wish to divide and conquer us are on the move and are no longer in hiding. Perhaps they feel they have placated us with “American Idol” etc, etc? Shame on us if they have.

JJay you sound reasonably intelligent. Educate yourself by going to http://www.discoverthenetwork.org and find out who and what you are supporting. We all make a few mistakes in our lives – you are entitled to a few also.

He nor those pulling adds are the ones being embarrassed by it. I don’t think Beck nor Fox give a rats ass. Let them advertise on the MSM. It is time to expose the Progressive (socialist) agenda, and when light shines, the attacks come.

(As a matter of fact, my favorites are Colbert, Maddow and Maher. However, I do watch CNN on occasion and MSNBC’s Obermann.) Clearly off to the far left – not moderates.

(You left out NPR which is usually pretty straight forward.) Some moderates and some far leftists.

Try watching some moderate conservatives. Beck, by the way, is a conservative libertarian. O’Reilly is libertarian. Live and let live but hold conservative thoughts especially with regards to spending and the economy. They have a record of outing out those Republicans who are not fiscally conservative. The MSM does not do much to denounce the liberals who are not fiscally conservative and are rooting for BIG progressive ideas that DO NOT fiscally support itself!

Libertarians: Those who believe in as little government as possible without anarchy. Primacy is the “individual” over the “collective.”

Liberals /Progressives: “purveyors of rejected knowledge” (per James Webb). Those in the futile pursuit of social utopia, loitering in the absurd, squandering & exchanging collective aptitude for the vainglorious manifestation of impervious convictions. Turning America into what Iranian mullahs now refer to as a “sunset power.”
