I am a registered democrat and want a medical plan that my wife Helen can afford. I am a disabled veteran and my heath care is taken care of. Helen had to cancel her health care policy last year (February 2008), because we could no longer afford the premiums. We had to pay off the hospital and doctors that her policy refused to pay. We had Care First/ Blue Cross Blue Shield for over 10 years and they refused to pay out less than $1000 to cover the hospital and doctors. We canceled the policy and used what little money we have to pay off the bills. Now we were promised a choice of a public plan and we voted on this promise only to find now that the president is shaky on the public plan. Please get this public plan on the road to finalization and get it passed.
