FOX: Green Jobs Czar not sure what "green jobs" are

FOX News’ Sean Hannity recently looked at a recent interview Newsweek magazine conducted with Obama’s “Green Jobs Czar,” Van Jones.

Jones, a self-described former communist who was arrested and briefly detained during the Rodney King riots, was interviewed by Newsweek’s Daniel Stone for a July 28, 2009 web-only story.

The article begins:

Washington is spending $60 billion to create the careers of the future, but not a single green job yet exists. Obama’s ‘green czar’ explains.

Except Jones doesn’t really “explain” anything at all. Instead, Jones tells Newsweek that the real problem is that no one in authority can agree about just what a “green job” actually is:

Well, we still don’t have a unified definition, and that’s not unusual in a democracy. It takes a while for all the states and the federal government to come to some agreement. But the Department of Labor is working on it very diligently. Fundamentally, it’s getting there, but we haven’t crossed the finish line yet.

Since Jones literally wrote the book on “green jobs” (2008’s The Green Collar Economy), this revelation doesn’t exactly inspire confidence.

Indeed, continues the reporter:

Several environmental advocates polled by Newsweek defined green jobs the way Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart famously defined obscenity: I’ll know it when I see it.

Good to know “experts” like that are responsible for spending billions in taxpayer money.

Ouch. The feds in the US are making me very happy that our government in Canada is a “minority” gov’t where no party has a majority. Total gridlock can be a good thing.

Three more years of these clowns and we may want a big fence on *our* southern border.

He even looks like Lenin. All he needs is that cute little comrade cap.

That’s funny because our Minister Of Employment in Australia also could not define what a “green job” is and insists that 26 weeks if “training” instead of receiving unemployment benefits is a “real” job.

So what does that make us? We had Pierre Trudeau the wonder PM. Who screwed not only the West but all of Canada economicaly. He gave us abortion on demand, Gay domination, The anti-Human rights tribunals. Hrc’s. Socialism till we bleed. A Constitution not worth the ink, so elastic & made for lawyers it means nothing. Give me back the BNA ACT with real Liberties, not phony ones of the trudeaumania Marxist love in. PET never meet a dictator he did’t love. Just like Obama. I might add both had the same view of immigration. The more none western or Europian in charcter, the better to create voting blocks.

Frankly Both of us North Americans are morons for allowing this to happen to us both.
We had England as an omen, America had us. Of the destructiveness of Marxism or the radical left. We see it with Chavez.
In Obamas eyes America & Israel are the problems.
