On the Tuesday “Glenn Beck Program,” the host threw a spotlight on bestselling author Michelle Malkin’s new book, Culture of Corruption, which is subtitled “Obama and his team of tax cheats, crooks, and cronies.”

Beck asked Malkin to tell him “a little bit about the idea and the philosophy of being a community organizer and remaking America. What does that mean to Barack Obama?”

Malkin replied that Beck had done a good job

laying out, on a theoretical level, what the agenda is in terms of transformation, but in order to implement that transformation, of course, you need a civilian corps, and you need a brigade of foot soldiers implanted in neighborhoods across the city who are at the beck and call of Team Obama…whether it’s shaking down banks, forming a housing entitlement mob, fostering voter fraud, and census shenanigans. You need the bodies.

The radical left-wing group ACORN and the SEIU are in the forefront of this effort and are “intimately” and “inextricably” linked, she said. SEIU (which is led by the former New Leftist Andrew Stern) is “a union that has remade itself in the 21st century to recruit the next generation of Democrat and hard-left foot soldiers.”

But resisting the Obama agenda is far from futile, Malkin said:

For people who think that it’s completely hopeless and you can’t hold, for example, the shadow government accountable, well, Steve Rattner is no longer the auto czar. And if you can get rid of one, you can get rid of 44. But it takes understanding, the Chicago way. It takes understanding these relationships and it takes recognizing the fact that there are whistleblowers in these organizations.

Malkin said Congress needs to probe ACORN in order “to crack open the [group’s] books.”

House Judiciary Committee chairman John Conyers, who has close ties to ACORN, recently backed out of his promise to investigate that organization. Then last week, Rep. Darrell Issa (R-California) – ranking member on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee — released a report urging that the ACORN network be stripped of its tax-exempt status and that the group face racketeering and other charges.
