FOX: Leftist Shopping Mall Empire Crushes Conservative Store

2009 July 27

Loren Spivack of freemarketwarrior.com told Glenn Beck Friday that his Concord, North Carolina shopping-mall kiosk was shut down by a shopping-mall chain because it carried anti-Obama and anti-liberal merchandise.  (The Charlotte Observer also reported on the story.)

“What essentially happened was one of the largest corporations in the country decided to stomp on one of the smallest companies in the country, Free Market Warrior,” Spivack explained. The action was taken based on one complaint from “one person who was not willing to be  in the same mall as material that she disagrees with.”

Spivack said his kiosk sold baby bibs that read, “My parents chose life: thanks mom and dad,” and bumper stickers that read “Impeach Obama” and “Al Qaeda’s 2 favorite days: 9/11/01 & 11/4/08.” (The latter date, of course, was election day 2008, when Barack Obama won the White House.)

Beck noted that the owners of the shopping mall holding company are big contributors to the Democratic Party but not did identify them on-air.

In fact, the Concord Mills mall is owned by the Simon Property Group Inc., which is run by Melvin and Bren Simon.  Mrs. Simon is a member of the Democracy Alliance, a group of liberal plutocrats determined to turn the U.S. into a European-style socialist state. The Democracy Alliance is heavily supported by left-wing philanthropist and political meddler, multi-billionaire George Soros.

This is just “Kristallnacht,” American Style.

The day is fast approaching when the last of the good nations, the world’s policeman, is merely a replicated clone of pre-war Nazi Germany (spare me the Hitler nuances)

A charismatic messiah emerges from the shadows to save America, His greatest traceable attribute (other than a less-than-humble raised chin, and a penchant for being photographed and Photoshopped with a halo) is that of aggressively seeking to slaughter fully born innocent babies who escape the dismembering machines of the godless abortionists -yet the crowds cheered and the Catholic Universities bowed to honor him.

His health plan seeks not only control over our lives – but our deaths, in manner and in who decides both when and how. Special needs individuals need not apply for they are separated from the comman man’s “healthcare.”

He make friends with the evil of the world (as did Hitler with pacts with Stalin and Mousallini) and apologizes for all the good America has done for the world, for he is utterly incapable of seeing it, blinded by his version of reform as Hitler had his mater race and Fatherland
    .
His religion appears to be hating whitey. His friends are a “Whos, Who, of America haters, and yet the crowds cheer. How soon before the factories are once again humming -turning out boots for his ACORN minions, while otherwise good people, shed tears of joy as he talks.

    We are history folks!

Did you even watch Glenn Beck’s show? Silly question because it is obvious that you didn’t. If you had, you would have known that Beck did indeed identify the owners of the mall on the air as Simon Property Group. After mentioning them, he wondered why the name sounded so familiar. At this point, he transitioned to a flashback of a prior show where he talked with the organizers of the July 4th Atlanta Tea Party about how their Tea Party was canceled by the very same Simon Property Group.

You really should not write about events that you have not personally witnessed (unless this is part of a job interview for the New York Times).

    Dear Tim J:

Perhaps you were watching the “Glenn Beck Program” while heavily medicated. If you get off the drugs the hallucinations will probably go away.

I say this because I just now reviewed the transcript for the entire show and the video for the segment at
    http://www.foxnews.com/video/index.html?playerId=011008&streamingFormat=FLASH&referralObject=7305101&referralPlaylistId=playlist

At no time in the video or in the transcript is the owner of the shopping mall identified.

Here’s as close as they got to identifying the owner of the mall:

GLENN BECK: Are you going to sue the mall? Because you know the relationship with the mall’s owners and President Obama. Did you learn that?

LOREN SPIVACK: I learned that since this has happened.

    BECK: Yes. Yes.

    SPIVACK: Yes, absolutely.

BECK: I mean, they’re good friends, in bed with Obama, so to speak. And I mean, it’s quite a deal.

    SPIVACK: They get millions.

    BECK: Yes, yes.

You should have paid VERY close attention to that video that you provided a link for. If you had, you would have heard the first thing that Beck said -

BECK: Yesterday on the program, I told you about a kiosk owner at Concord Mills Mall that is being kicked out for selling anti-Obami and anti-liberal paraphernalia only.

Notice that very first word there – “Yesterday”??????? When Beck first covered the story, he did identify the mall owner and he did it in exactly the manner I described. Obviously if anyone is using drugs and hallucinating, it is you.

Clearly you don’t actually watch the show and instead look for little video clips that you can write about. Your parents must be sooooo proud.

Tim, baby, you’re not reading carefully.

I wrote that on that show, by which I obviously meant that day’s installment of the program, Beck did not identify the owner of the shopping mall. I provided a link to the specific installment of the program I referenced. That’s what I was referring to.

By “show” you apparently meant the “Glenn Beck Program” generally, as opposed to that day’s installment. My meaning was abundantly clear but I can see how if you were rushed or in the mood to pick a fight you might make the mistake that you did.

If you’re going to nitpick, at least read what I’ve written and make an effort to try to understand what I’ve written, or you’re going to end up getting punked again.
